F?rderprogramm Forschungskooperationen
The Graduate Centre at the University of Augsburg supports research cooperations between early-career researchers at the University of Augsburg and external researchers. The funding line seeks to promote cooperation at national and international levels in the planning and implementation of joint research projects with a concrete result.

Aim of the funding programme
- Strengthening research cooperation between early-career researchers at national and international levels through joint on-site collaboration (at the University of Augsburg or at another institution in Germany or abroad)
- The planning, implementation, and completion of a joint research project, e.g., a publication or a third-party funding application, a jointly conducted survey or interviews, or the joint collection of data
- Increasing the visibility of the research profile
- Supporting early-career researchers¡¯ exchange, networking, and mobility
Who is eligible for funding?
Early career researchers who are in the doctoral, postdoctoral, or habilitation phases at the University of Augsburg are eligible to apply for funding. Applying as a team is also possible.

What is funded?
- Cooperation?stays of between one and four weeks either for a cooperation partner to stay at the University of Augsburg or for an early-career researcher at the University of Augsburg to stay at the home institution of the cooperation partner
- Travel expenses: Early-career researchers at the University of Augsburg will receive travel allowances based on the Bavarian Auslandsreisekostenverordnung (BayARV) and Auslandsreisekostenbekanntmachung (VV-BayARV), Anlage 1. Expenses for visiting researchers from abroad will be calculated according to DAAD allowance rates (daily flat rate + travel expenses)
- Material and equipment expenses that are directly related to the completion of the project

Duration of funding
Evidence of the use of funds must be submitted to the Graduate Centre. A final report must be submitted at the latest two weeks after the end of the funding period.

Please note that the allocation guidelines of the University of Augsburg apply. Contracts of any form, e.g., for room rental outside of the university, can only be concluded after prior consultation with the Graduate Centre. We will gladly advise you about this.

Application requirements and funding criteria
Please submit the following documents as a single PDF file:
- Application form
- A positive statement from the supervising professor at the University of Augsburg about the project
- Tabular CV from the applicant/s
- A brief overview of the project (max. 3 pages) including: title of the project, roles of the persons responsible for the project (for team-based applications), academic objective, target group/s and number and role of participants, description of the topic and its importance, event concept and preliminary event programme, added value of the event for individual career development, time and work plan, financial/cost plan).

Selection and allocation criteria
Members of the Graduate Centre¡¯s steering committee will decide on the allocation of funding. Applications will be assessed, and funding awarded based on the following criteria:
- A positive statement from the supervising professor at the University of Augsburg about the project
- The completeness of the funding application
- The quality and originality of the project
- The project¡¯s alignment with the objectives of the funding programme
- The feasibility of the project
- Efficiency and cost-effectiveness based on an appropriate cost/benefit ratio
